Certified

Any table is now an operating room.

Every doctor at Night Owl General went home. All of them. At once. Sign the contract, pick up the tweezers and lift out whatever your patients swallowed, one trembling piece at a time. Touch the rim and the whole ward hears it.

Patient chart · Instructions

Three rules. One very steady hand.

Grab the tweezers, lean over the table and hold your breath. Everything you pull out pays. Every wobble costs.

  1. STEP 1

    Lift it out

Pinch the tweezers with your real fingers, or squeeze the trigger, and lift each piece out of its cavity. The rim is closer than it looks.

  2. STEP 2

    BZZZT.

Touch the edge and the bedside monitor screams, the tweezers jolt, your patient yelps and your fee shrinks. Everyone in the room will hear about it.

  3. STEP 3

    Get paid

Clean pulls earn fees and stars. Pass the Board Exam, buy your next degree and climb from Intern all the way to Surgeon General.

Waiting room · Nil by mouth

Now admitting.

15 patients on the ward, each with their own board, their own story, their own voice and a stomach full of things that really shouldn't be in there. Here are three. The rest you'll have to meet in person.

  • Wobbla's board

    Wobbla

A strawberry jelly cube from the pantry. Wobbles when she laughs, and she laughs a lot.

  • Inky's board

    Inky

An octopus who does the washing-up with eight arms. Swallowed some of it.

  • Bolt's board

    Bolt

The base’s maintenance robot. Swallows every spare part he’s sent to fit.

  • +12 patients

Files sealed until you scrub in.

Where · Your pick

Operate anywhere. Even the moon.

The Dr Certified play set on a real kitchen table: the patient board in its tray, the tool rack, tweezer stand, card deck and vitals monitor, the way it looks in mixed realityMixed reality

Your table

The board lands on your real table, with your room all around it. Your kitchen, your desk, your coffee table: all operating theatres now. Pass the headset around and see who cracks first.

The moon med-bay

Flip one switch and your room becomes a cosy med-bay on a moon base: chubby toy furniture, Earth in the window, and Blip, the wall screen with a face, who watches you work and winces when you buzz.

Dispatch · Priority

And sometimes, the radio crackles.

Finish a shift in style and dispatch may call with a patient in trouble out there. Say yes and your table goes with you, somewhere new with rules of its own. Say no and it costs you nothing. Every call-out has its own medal, in bronze, silver and gold.

“Dispatch to Dr ____. Can you ride along?”

  • Inside the ambulance: stickers on the cabinets, a heart monitor, an owl badge on the back doors and a drip on the railCall-out

    Ambulance ride-along

The stretcher rocks, the siren wails and the driver shouts “Pothole!” a second before it hits. Grab the rail with your free hand and keep your patient stable all the way to Night Owl General.

  • Inside the air ambulance: the litter, a blue seat, headsets on the wall and a sunset through the round windowsCall-out

    Air ambulance

The rotors thump, the litter sways and the pilot calls the turbulence before it hits. Brace, breathe, and land your patient on Night Owl General’s helipad.

  • +1 call-out

Sealed. Dispatch will call when you're ready.

Supply room · Staff only

Six tools. Six emergencies. One career.

It starts with tweezers and a sleepy night shift. Where it ends is classified, and finding out is half the fun.

Start with tweezers. Every degree you buy opens up a new instrument, and a new way to ruin a perfectly good shift. Which ones? That's on a need-to-know basis.

Staff handbook · Night shift

Life on the night shift.

There's more to the job than steady hands. Here's what comes with the badge.

  • Sign on the dotted line

Your first night starts with a contract from Night Owl General. Pick a name, or roll a silly one, and sign it in your own hand. From then on the hospital calls you by it.

  • Learn on the job

A few minutes of hands-on training teach the squeeze, the lift and the dreaded buzz before your first real patient. Done this before? Skip it.

  • An Honours wall

Medals, ribbons and service patches for the shifts that went right, hung beside the diplomas you paid for.

  • Daily Patient

A fresh case every day, and a bonus on the fees that grows with your streak.

  • Dressed for the season

At Halloween and Christmas every room dresses up, and the seasonal themes are free to try while the season lasts.

  • Bare hands

Helpers like the coffee machine forgive the odd slip. Switch them all off in your KIT for 10% more fees and a patch to prove it.

Options · Accessibility

Shaky hands welcome.

Steady hands are the challenge, not the entry ticket. Tune the game to your hands, your eyes and your table from the OPTIONS folder, any time.

  • Tested seated and standing, with hands and with controllers.
  • You never move through the world. Only some call-outs rock the table, and you can switch those off.
  • Left- or right-handed, the table lays itself out around the hand that holds the tweezers.
  • Want it harder? Shaky hands mode adds a tremor on purpose.

Questions from the waiting room

Is it gory?

Not even a little. The patients are toys and critters, the pieces are things like a sofa, a wok or a spare bolt, and there is no blood anywhere.

Do I need a real table?

It plays best on one. The game finds your table from the headset’s room scan and puts the board on it. Without a scan you can place the board by hand.

Hands or controllers?

Both. With hand tracking the tweezers sit between your real thumb and finger. With controllers you hold them like a pen and squeeze the trigger.

My hands shake. Can I still play?

That’s the game! But there are three difficulty levels, Assisted grip for hand tracking, bigger text, colour-blind modes and calmer effects. And if it’s too easy, turn on Shaky hands, play on Surgeon, or switch off your helpers for a bare-hands bonus.

Will it make me motion sick?

You never move through the world: you sit or stand at your table and the patients come to you. A few call-outs rock the table like a moving vehicle. Switch off Motion call-outs in the options and those are never offered.

Which headsets?

Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 3S at launch. More Quest headsets are planned after that.

Are there in-app purchases?

No. Dr Certified is a one-time purchase. Everything in the game, from new tools to the seasonal themes, is earned with the fees you make by operating.

How long is it?

We tuned the career to take around 8–15 hours to reach the top rank. After that there are call-out medals to upgrade, Daily Patient streaks and three-star runs on every level.

Is it multiplayer?

It’s single-player, but it’s at its best with people watching. Pass the headset around and see who cracks first.

What data does the game collect?

None on our side. Your progress, your doctor’s name and your signature stay on your headset. The details are in the privacy policy. Read the privacy policy.
