Dr Certified privacy policy
Last updated 1 November 2026
The short version
Dr Certified doesn't collect personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no tracking. Your progress is saved on your headset and never sent to us. The check that you own the game is handled by Meta.
Who we are
Dr Certified (“the game”) is made and published by SabuTech (KVK 99588145), based in the Netherlands. This policy covers the game on Meta Quest and this web page. For anything about your data, email contact [at] sabutech [dot] net.
What stays on your headset
The game saves these on your Meta Quest so you can pick up where you left off:
- Your progress: career, rank, fees, stars, medals, results per patient and the items you've unlocked.
- Your contract: the doctor's name you chose (it can be made up) and the signature you drew, so the game can show them on your badge and diplomas.
- Your settings: difficulty, volume, accessibility options, theme and your dominant hand.
- Where you put things: the position of the board and props relative to your room, so they're in the same place next time.
None of this is sent to us. Uninstalling the game deletes it. If you have Meta's cloud backup turned on, Meta may keep a copy of it under Meta's own terms.
What the game uses but doesn't keep
To play, the game uses data your headset provides. It's processed on the headset, in real time, and never leaves it:
- Hand and controller tracking: the position of your hands, fingers and controllers, so you can hold the tweezers.
- Your room's layout (scene data): the shape of your room and where your tables are, so the board can sit on a real table. Your headset asks for your permission before any app can use it.
- Passthrough: the view of your room is drawn by the headset itself. The game doesn't access camera images, and it doesn't use the microphone.
What Meta handles
When the game starts, it asks the Meta Horizon platform whether your account owns it. You buy the game on the Meta Horizon Store, and there are no in-app purchases. We never see your payment details. Meta processes this under the Meta Privacy Policy.
Meta also gives developers combined, anonymous statistics through its developer dashboard (for example the number of installs, sales and crash reports). We use them to fix bugs and improve the game. They don't identify you.
What we don't do
- No sign-up, account or login of our own.
- No analytics or tracking SDKs, and no advertising.
- No selling or sharing of data. We don't have any to share.
- No voice chat, multiplayer or user-generated content.
Children
The game collects no personal data from anyone, including children. Meta sets the age rules for Meta Quest accounts. If you're a parent and have a question, email contact [at] sabutech [dot] net.
If you email us
If you contact us for support or press, we use your email address and message only to reply, and we keep them only as long as the conversation needs. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering you.
This web page
This page sets no cookies and runs no analytics. If you turn the music on or off, your browser remembers that choice (in its local storage, on your device) for your next visit. Like every website, our hosting provider (Vercel) processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver the page and keep it secure. The rest of the SabuTech website has its own privacy policy.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, object to how we use it, or complain to a supervisory authority (in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). Since the game sends us nothing, the only data we're likely to hold is an email you sent us. To ask, email contact [at] sabutech [dot] net.
Changes
If the game starts handling data differently (for example, online features), we'll update this page and the date at the top before that update ships.
